Easter Egg Nature Craft using Flowers and Leaves

Easter is just around the corner – crazy, right? This year is absolutely flying along!

If you are a family who celebrates Easter, this egg nature craft is the perfect way to do just that. If you don’t celebrate Easter, it is a beautiful activity to share with your children regardless, honing their fine motor skills and connecting them with nature’s resources.

I love this craft because it only requires a few materials to produce a delightful result. Your kids will be delighted at what they create!

Let’s jump into the activity:

What you’ll need:

• 1 or more eggs (it’s always good to have a few spares)
• Hole punches:
  Butterfly hole punch
  Bunny hole punch
  Heart hole punch
•  Leaves and flowers
• A good quality craft glue like mod podge

Easter Egg Nature Craft

Step 1. Blow out the inside contents of the egg. If you’re not sure how to do this, you can read the instructions here. 

Step 2. Go outside and collect some leaves and lots of pretty little flowers with your children. We like using a cane basket. Try to find lots of different colours. You might like to use this free nature colour/color wheel during your hunt. 

Step 3. Lay all your natural materials, glue, and hole punches on the tables so that your children can see all the natural materials they’ll be creating with. 

Step 4. Let your child get creative!

Step 5. Use a milk, or water bottle cap to stand the egg up while it dries.
