No matter how you spell the word, it doesn’t stop the delight you feel when you see bright enchanting hues and shades in the natural world.

An intensely purple flower, a light green unfurling fern or the dark brown shade of mud; These can go unnoticed unless we take the time to look for them.

To appreciate their beauty.

And children usually tend to be better at finding beauty in nature, but it doesn’t mean that it can’t be enhanced in a fun, playful way. Which is why I made this Nature Colour (and color) Scavenger wheel.

You’ll need:

• Nature Colour/Color Wheel (both versions are in the pack)
• A4 Paper or card
• Scissors
• 12 wooden pegs

Nature Color Wheel Instructions:

1. Print your color wheels on thick A4 paper or glue your printed paper onto some recycled cardboard.
2. Cut out your color wheels.
3. Add the pegs to your child’s shirt.
4. Time to go outside with your child and explore the natural world.
5. When your child finds something on the color wheel, show them how to add a peg to the wheel. See if they can add pegs around the whole wheel.

• Print your scavenger wheel on sustainable or 100% recycled paper.
• Please do not laminate your scavenger wheel.
• If you no longer need your scavenger wheel, please put it in your compost bin or give it to someone else.
