I know plates are made for food but I hope this inspires you to use that cute little plate you might be hiding in your cupboard, like this Wooden Bunny Plate, for play.
Nature play to be exact. Did you expect any thing different from me?
Grab a beautiful basket and take your little ones outside. Enjoy plenty of time collecting natural materials to use later.
Don’t rush this moment, take it all in.
Talk about the gorgeous nature treasures you find and take some time to breath in that beautiful fresh air.
Lay out all your materials on a table and play with them together before you start crafting.
Roll them around in your fingers, talk about the bright greens and yellows and discuss the textures and shapes.
Then, grab your cute plate.
I bought this Wooden Bunny Plate from Amazon (affiliate link). It’s just the right size for little hands and it can be used for this nature craft idea and to encourage your child to eat their peas too. *wink*
I personally love it for this nature activity though and it’s perfectly themed for Easter.
The girls have used it over and over. The only activity I won’t let them use it for is mud play. Wooden materials can stain when mud is involved and my girls love to cover everything in mud. Not this little bunny.
Dirt, yes. Mud, no!
It’s now time for your child to add character to their little bunny’s face, or what ever fun little plate you might have found.
