I can’t imagine there would be many mothers today that didn’t want their child to reduce the amount of screen time they consume.
And most of us would prefer they were playing outside, right?
It might come as a surprise, but despite this website being filled with activities, I still have the same problems as you.
My kids are outside a lot, but occasionally when I’m tired, stressed or quite simply over it, I let the kids have way too much screen time. And it shows.
They get cranky. Really cranky!
That’s quite ironic really. I get some quiet time, while their little brains start to become anxious.
I made these cards for those times of weakness.
It’s the easy way to say no to screen time because instead of saying yes to their demands, I instead encourage them to grab a card and head outside.
So far it’s working wonders.
With three kids, we have already run out of the everyday cards (because it’s always sunny in Australia) and now they alternate between the nature play cards that they have made themselves and the cards that they have already done.
