If you have plenty of red leaves lying around, this apple nature craft is a perfect activity to do with your kids.
You’ll love collecting all the red leaves together and then scrunching them up into tiny little pieces. Â After that, your kid’s little finger tips will be working over time developing those important fine motor skills they need.
What you’ll adore about this craft too, is that the apple will change colour over time – just like a real apple would once it’s taken off the tree.
Enjoy exploring the changes in the apple together.

Our apple went from bright red to oranges, then to dull orange and almost grey. It’s exactly what I would expect to see if I saw a real apple dying. Strangely, we weren’t sad about its colours fading. Instead, we loved checking on it every day and commenting on the changes.
So, next time you find a heap of beautiful bright red flowers, you know you’ll need to grab them for this apple nature craft and enjoy a piece of artwork that changes each day.
